.The one which we leave this world

=== Back at "Camp" (Skydagger Peak)

• We assume positions, expeting enemy attacks
• They crash into us in waves, in horrificly large numbers
• We know we cannot win this. The only option for us is to play for time.
• The Silver Stags are quickly surrounded and under strong pressure
• The Ghost Owls under *Zayaevich* and the Grinning Ravens lead by *Scarlet* manage to push back the enemy for a brief while
• The first pods are launched into space. Nothing explodes or breaks apart. Looking good!
• The Shattered Lions rush in to support the Silver Stags and with minor losses support the line
• The artillery swipes over from bombarding the base to support the fight against Lions and Stags
• Both squads are still under heavy fire and feel the oppression
• The Shattered Lions storm forward and shred their way through the enemy lines
• *Scarlet* falls back to tend to the wounded Stags
• While the Ghost Owls defend the North, *Zayaevich* supports the Shattered Lions with suppressive fire
• *Colay* runs into the battle and helps out the Lions
• Suddenly drones emerge from the mountain side, homing in on *Zayaevich*
• *Scarlet* fires into the crowd to keep *Zayaevich's* back free
• *Zayaevich* then goes absolutely nuts and drowns the drones in lead! They have to retreat to consolidate
• Meanwhile, the Ghost Owls are under pressure from the Cultists and are getting shredded
• They retreat to cut their losses and the first defense line breaks
• Retreat to the second line!
• Luckily everybody makes it back
• While *Siv* tried to (unsuccessfully) fend off the drone strike, some cultists sneak into the base behind her and the Star Viper's backs
• More pods are fired into the skies
• *Siv* loads her special ammo and shoots the cultist's grappling lines one by one to cut off their reinforcements
• Meanwhile the Star Vipers start to mop up the remaining few
• At our last defense line, the drones come back to attack their largest threat *Zayaevich*
• He falls back to pull their fire from the front line
• Together with the Silver Stags he decimates the drone swarm and they retreat
• *Scarlet* tends to the Lion's wounds while they fend off the cultists
• Supported by our Commander, the Grinning Ravens hold their line well
• The ground is shaking. Some heavy machinery approaches the defensive line, Fire Bots!
• *Scarlet* rams a large syringe in *Zayaevich's* ass and pumps him full of stimulating drugs
• In his rage, he empties magazine after magazine into the heavy machines and shredding them
• *Scarlet* also patches up the Shattered Lions while they fire into the enemies and keep them at bay
• Further south, the Grinning Ravens still hold the line while the enemies keep approaching
• *Colay* pulls a mortar out of his secret stash and fires with the Grinning Ravens onto the southern Fire Bots
• In return, it fires a barrage of rockets, shredding through the lines. Our commander also falls in the rain of shells. An honorable death on the front.
• *Siv* senses that something lurks around the base scouts the perimeter
• She spots tiny wires coming out of the ground. We have seen these before... "dun dun dunh...!"
• Another barrage of pods launches into space
• The artillery bombardment switches to the south, threatening the Grinning Ravens that already have been previously pressured my the heavy machines
• *Scarlet* fights her way back to the stronghold, but it takes some time
• The Shattered Lions hold their position in the north well
• *Scarlet* spots more metal wires on the path and makes her way around it
• *Colay*, *Zayaevich* and the Grinning Ravens totally and utterly shred the southern Fire Bot
• Our marshall meanwhile reinforces our last line of defense
• While *Siv* takes pot shots at the cultists, the Star Vipers rig together high-voltage whips to arm up against the wire lurkers
• The launcher is slowly infiltrated by nanobots that try to dismantle it from the inside. We have to do something about it!
• The frontline is slowly eroded by cultists
• On the northern front, *Colay* leads from the front and charges with the Shattered Lions and the Silver Stags into battle
• They are getting ripped to pieces. Only one Stag survives and retreats in a crawl
• *Scarlet* helps the Engineering Team to fix the Nanobot damage and they keep the Nanobots contained. For now.
• *Arun* will step into the next pod. Evacuating a Supernatural has a high priority
• *Dania* tries to burn the Lurker wires, but mostly scorches the environment
• *Colay* realizes that he advanced too far and painted himself into a corner. He goes all out to cover the retreat of the Shattered Lions and dies in the enemy fire
• Thanks to *Colay's* cover fire, the Shattered Lions manage to repel the Cultists
• *Siv* continues to pick off Cultists one-by-one
• *Dania* still struggles with her fire. She and the Star Vipers can't keep the Lurker at bay
• The Lurker attacks, pierces *Dania* with wires and decimates the Star Vipers
• *Guru* jumps into the battle with the high-voltage whip and damages one Lurker while suffering a few cuts
• *Scarlet* pulls the bleeding *Dania* into one of the pods
• By now the situation in the stronghold is getting critical. We ring the alarm to call back our frontline.
• They fall back and fight their way through another cloud of drones
• While falling back the Lions unfortunately lose some members
• *Guru* shreds the Lurker, not defeated, but severely damaged
• *Scarlet* supports *Silver Raging Blade* to combat the Nanobots and they manage to temporarily contain them
• The launcher jams! Two pods collide and are stuck in the mechanism
• *Scarlet* rams *Guru* another syringe in the butt and he dismembers the most urgent Lurker
• *Silver Raging Blade* blows up the stuck pods in a beautiful fireball
• *Scarlet*, *Turma-o Kal* und *Guru* hop into pods
• Half-enchanted by The Void, *Siv* tries to distract the Cultists and supernaturals with the only effect that she tumbles from the roof and is torn to shreds in the fog below
• Our retreating front-line holds the position long enough for 18th wave of the pods to leave the building before Lurkers, Cultists, The Void, heavy artillery and probably Breaker pulverize Skydagger Peak

• *Zayaevich* is a one-man-seven-nation-army shredding countless Cultists with style
• Combat Medic *Scarlet* continuously patched up the Shattered Lions while under constant fire
• *Colay* held the front line for many hours and sacrificed himself to save his squads
• The Commander inspired the living fuck out of our squads until he was blown to pieces
• *Siv* held back hordes of Cultists and shot grappling lines to shreds, having them tumble down the walls
